Launched in 2012, Women Striving for Success, Inc. is a community of women business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals supporting each other for successful development & enrichment in the Virgin Islands.
Our credo: Women supporting women to succeed in their business and professional lives.
Women Striving for Success, Inc. began as an informal grassroots movement in 2012, by USVI Senator Janette Millin Young, who remains actively involved as the group’s
President. It was quickly incorporated in 2013 and operates as a non-profit community of women business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals. WSFS has grown rapidly since its founding, with its
first and second annual conferences attracting several hundred business and professional women from a variety of occupations and industries.
The USVI is a female dominated, matriarchal society and women’s participation in the local economy and government have increased steadily throughout the territory’s history. With one third of the USVI’s families headed by a single mother, it is essential for women to not only be empowered, but to have the tools to shape their futures and provide for their families, whether this is through owning a small business or in a successful career. Women Striving for Success is committed to providing a place for women in business to network, and ultimately support each other in successful personal and professional development and enrichment.
We are a community of women business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals supporting each other for successful development & enrichment in the United States Virgin Islands.
